County Commissioners
Osborne County is governed by a three-person commission elected by the population in their respective districts. The first and third district commissioners were voted into office in 2008 and the second district commissioner was voted into office in 2006 (to take office in Jan of the following year). They serve a four-year term. They meet in the Commissioner’s room on Mondays starting at 9:00 a.m. until business has been concluded, with a break from 12 to 1 p.m. for lunch.
The First District Commissioner is James H. Cary. Jim was elected for the term of 2009 through 2013. This district consists of Lawrence, Bethany, Ross, Corinth and Bloom townships.

The Second District Commissioner is Bryan Byrd. Bryan was elected for the term of 2007 through 2011. This district consists of Tilden and Penn townships.
The Third District Comissioner is C. W. Seaman. Seaman was elected for the term of 2009 through 2013. This district consists of Grant, Hawkeye, Sumner, Mt. Ayr, Kill Creek, Independence, Hancock, Round Mound, Victor, Covert, Winfield, Natoma, Liberty, Valley Jackson and Delhi townships.
