Welcome to Osborne County Hwy. Dept.
The Road and Bridge Department has 15 employees.
Our goal is for a safe public transportation system.
We provide construction and maintenance of roads & bridges.
We currently take care of a total of 230 miles of County roads.
In addition seven Townships have been turned over to the county commissioners
to be the trustees on the following townships and the miles are:
Covert 33 ¾ miles
Grant 38 1/2 miles
Hancock 36 miles
Hawkeye 40 miles
Independence 33 ½ miles
Sumner 59 miles
Winfield 19 ½ miles
The Highway Department takes care of
62 FAS bridges
161 OFF SYSTEM bridges
577 under twenty (20) foot drainage structures
